Logistics is the process of planning, implementing and controlling the efficient and effective flow of goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption. This includes not only ensuring that goods are physically transported from place to place, but also that they are transferred through various forms of infrastructure along their way and handled in an organized manner by relevant personnel. The National Logistics Cell (NLC) is responsible for the coordination of logistics functions at the national level in Pakistan. The NLC’s goal is to ensure that all government organizations as well as private entities meet their logistic requirements through efficient supply chain management while working within budgetary limits.

The National Logistics Cell (NLC) of Pakistan Army is a premier transportation logistics organisation of Pakistan, which has been raised and exists to cater to military logistical requirements. Its motto is: Transportation is our Pride. Its mission statement is as follows
Required Eligibility Criteria
Must be between 17 and 25 years of age. Must have at least 60% marks in English, Maths and Physics at 10th and 12th standard. There is no minimum qualification required. Only male candidates are eligible to apply. Appointments will be made on a contract basis initially, with regular employees being appointed after 3 months.
Salary Structure
The official salary structure as per notification is given below. It has been updated on 7 March 2018. The salary that a candidate will get after getting selected will be according to their scale and grade, as per their rank in merit list. The candidate who gets selected against Assistant Manager (Accounts) job will get Rs: 24,200-49,000/- with grade pay of Rs: 6,000/- per month. Candidate who gets selected against Research Officer job will get Rs: 20,400-39,800/- with grade pay of Rs: 5400/- per month. Candidate who gets selected against Deputy Superintendent Engineer (Civil) job will get Rs: 28,300-54,500/- with grade pay of Rs: 7000/- per month.
How to Apply
The NLC is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. The application process involves going through various rounds of interviews before being hired. The whole process will take about one month or less depending on how quickly candidates qualify and are interviewed by HR officers. Applicants must successfully complete all previous rounds of interview with two other individuals outside of HR before they can be considered for hire and promoted from applicant to employee status. Employment in general usually requires a formal education, particularly in certain industries such as information technology, computer science, engineering, and medicine. Many occupations also require certification, licensure or a professional degree.
Selection Process
To select a suitable candidate to serve with NLC, there are three stages of selection process. The candidates who qualify at these stages are allowed to move forward for personal interview. The first stage is screening of applications received against education qualification and experience requirements. Selected candidates will be called in a written test. Based on their performance in written test, applicants will be called in a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The personal interview may also include an Intelligence Test and/or Psychometric Aptitude Test (PAT). Those selected will have to complete physical fitness tests as well as medical examination.
