Faculty Posts
The Pir Mehr Ali Shah Agricultural and Technology University, a constituent unit of Pakistan’s national university system, is hiring faculty to begin teaching in early 2019. Applications are being accepted now through October 20th for part-time positions in biological science, computer science and engineering, business administration, business economics and financial management, chemical engineering, civil engineering and environmental sciences. Applicants must hold a master’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA or its equivalent in their field from an accredited institution. Experience is not required but is preferred for full-time faculty members. Research Assistant Posts
Applications are invited for one post of Laboratory Attendant in Lahore College for Women University, Shalimar Campus. The appointee will be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all technical equipment, instruments and apparatus; maintenance of laboratories; cleaning and disinfection of all laboratory apparatus; general housekeeping work etc. Preference will be given to non-minority candidates as per merit. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/agriculture or related field with two years relevant experience from any recognized institute/university along with computer literacy certificate are required. The Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University (PMAS-AU) was established on July 1, 1974 by merging a number of regional colleges and research institutes that were engaged in arid land and water resources development for decades. It started functioning from April 15, 1975 with 30 faculty members, 13 supporting staff and 159 students. At present there are 79 faculty members and 19 supporting staff in various departments of 11 colleges affiliated with PMAS-AU. The total number of students has reached to around 600. However, PMAS-AU has developed into a full fledged university at par with public sector universities as well as private sector varsities.
