What are the Skills Required?
A degree or certification in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Understanding of IT and software development practices, principles and methods. Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and programming languages. Ability to write computer programs to handle applications involving significant constraints in resources (e.g., memory storage). Experience with one or more major operating systems and development environments such as Java/J2EE, JSPs/Servlets, XML; SQL; VB Scripts; HTML5 & CSS3 are beneficial. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) are required to interact effectively with individuals at all levels within an organization and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff. Working knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile/Scrum methodologies highly desirable but not required.
