About CMH Rawalpindi
The Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) is a military hospital located in Rawalpindi. It was established as part of Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in 1995, with Civilian personnel. The construction work started in August 1994 and it was finally completed on March 31, 1996. As per an agreement between Pakistan and Turkey, Turkish Armed Forces sent 54 civilian doctors to serve at AFIC for a period of one year each. After completion of their assignment they were replaced by Pakistanis who were already serving in AFIC under ILTP scheme.
