Market Assistant
A market assistant position is available in Kurram. The main responsibility of a market assistant is to assist farmers with marketing their produce, ensuring that they receive fair prices for their products and report on any abuses. This job requires speaking English fluently and basic knowledge of Pashto, Urdu, and/or Farsi is essential. BPS-18, BPS-19 & BPS-20 Plant Pathologist/Microbiologist will be posted on or before 25 September 2017. Qualification & Experience: A Master’s degree in Plant Pathology/ Microbiology or any allied discipline with an experience of five years after Masters’ degree with expertise in plant pathology and disease diagnosis of crops and livestock, potato breeder and vegetable breeder. Desirable qualifications/experience/qualifications for above posts include training as a plant pathology farm advisor and having wide knowledge about pest management including its socio-economic implications. Preference will be given to candidates working on molecular biology related projects particularly crop improvement work.
Plant Pathologist/Microbiologist (BPS-18, BPS-19 & BPS-20)
A Plant Pathologist or Microbiologist performs scientific experiments and researches on microbes to find ways to stop or prevent plant diseases and parasites. A person with a PhD or MS in microbiology can work as a Professor, Principal Scientist, Research Scientist or Supervisor. You need to have 3-5 years of experience for applying to any of these positions. The government may provide you with an initial pay scale of Rs. 15600 – 39100 plus other facilities like free houses, cars, transferable tickets etc., depending upon your designation/experience/location.
